A camera hangs on my dad’s shoulder as he gathers material about our holidays and weekends’ trips.

Seated on the carpet, we move heavy stacks of photo albums browsing through moments printed on paper.

I walk among frames hanging on the walls, the light is soft, a visit to our private gallery.

I was always encouraged to document myself through encyclopedias, visual or written ones, and find a way to travel with imagination. By doing that I developed a curiosity that I’m still using and translating while taking photos.

The series is about the importance of the object and the medium of photography in the private environment but it aspires also to be a subjective mental analysis on the meaning of “home” and how some images become foundations of our visual vocabulary.
